A couple of strokes of bad luck have interrupted Broome's Wooden Award odds and his season. The senior suffered a minor shoulder injury in mid-December that didn't keep him sidelined for too long. Then, Broome suffered a lower ankle strain against South Carolina, that didn't require surgery. But, less than two weeks later, he was back on the court with a noble 16-point, 14 rebound performance against Tennessee.
Broome's impact is undeniable. Even after missing a handful of games due to injury, the forward still leads Auburn in points (18.6), rebounds (10.6) and assists (3.3). Standing at 6-foot-10, Broome is credited for being one of the top two-way players in the nation through his blocking and rebounding abilities.
When it comes to adversity, Broome has seen his fair share. Yet, he's overcame it all and is prepping to pilot Auburn in March Madness.
