The UFC returns to your screens this Saturday, May 3rd as UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Figueiredo gets underway from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
Time to boost your UFC betting bankroll, dive into my UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Figueiredo parlay picks:
UFC Fight Night Parlay Picks: Take the Points (+371)
- Cory Sandhagen by points (-140)
- Mason Jones by points (+175)
Cory Sandhagen's unorthodox volume striking and movement skills will overwhelm the smaller Deiveson Figeuiredo in the main event of the evening. Figeuiredo will be giving up six inches in height and a reach advantage and Sandhagen is a terrible stylistic matchup for the Brazilian.
After all, Sandhagen has outworked and outmaneuvered smaller, powerful fighters like John Lineker and Marlon Vera in the past, and I'm betting this bout takes on a similar shape.
Further down the card, rising Welsh prospect Mason Jones meets UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens in the cage. Incredibly, this scrap will mark Stephens' 35th UFC bout. Of his 18 losses in the Octagon, he's lost 12 by decision. Even at 38, Stephens has the chin and will to make it three rounds with the "The Dragon" in what will be a huge step up in competition for Jones.
UFC Fight night Parlay Picks: Favorites (-127)
- Cory Sandhagen moneyline (-520)
- Bo Nickal moneyline (-350)
- Mason Jones moneyline (-590)
Parlaying favorites is a tried and true formula across sports betting, so let's give it a go for our UFC Fight Night parlay picks. Cory Sandhagen, Bo Nickal and Mason Jones are massive favorites for good reason. As noted above, Sandhagen has the size and speed advantage over Deiveson Figeuiredo. Sandhagen's feints and unorthodox striking style are sure to keep his opponent off balance. While rising prospect Bo Nickal faces a stiff test in Reinier de Ridder, Nickal is likely to overwhelm the former ONE Championship double champ. I'm betting Nickal's explosive wrestling and devastating top control power him to victory.
Finally, Mason Jones should have little trouble taking home the victory against 38-year-old Jeremy Stephens on Saturday night. If Stephens was 10 years younger, this bout would be far more competitive. However, the UFC vet has lost seven of his last eight fights between the UFC and PFL. It seems like Uncle Dana brought Stephens back for one last swan song in order to feed him to the ascending talent of Jones. Look for the younger, much more explosive fighter to cruise to victory. Simply sprinkle a unit on all three of the biggest favorites to cash our UFC Fight Night parlay.
