It’s Friday, June 6, and I’ve got one heat-check YRFI pick and one sharp contrarian NRFI bet on tap. The energy is high after a wild D-backs comeback, but we’re zagging later in the slate with a sneaky under pick in Chicago.
YRFI Pick Today: Diamondbacks vs Reds (-102 at Sportsbook)

We’re going to heat check here, and the odds make this one too good to up.
The Diamondbacks are fresh off one of the greatest comebacks in recent memory, scoring seven straight runs in the bottom of the ninth on Thursday to shock the Braves. It wasn’t just the top of the order — production came from all over, with a pair of homers and a flurry of clutch hits.
Now they get a hittable lefty in Nick Lodolo, who’s allowed a YRFI in seven of 12 starts. Eduardo Rodriguez is 4–5 to the YRFI himself, so this is a pitching matchup that could crack early again.
At -102, this is a value YRFI that rides both momentum and math.
NRFI Pick Today: Royals vs White Sox (-102 at Sportsbook)
Royals vs White Sox Odds – 7:40 p.m. ET
This might look like a YRFI spot on the surface, but I’m going the other way.
Yes, the Royals are on fire in the first inning, slugging over .800 across the last seven days. And yes, they’re facing one of the league’s worst pitching staffs. But White Sox starter Davis Martin hasn’t been terrible early in games.
Martin owns a 4.09 ERA in the first and has allowed just one homer in 11 first-inning appearances. He doesn’t have strikeout stuff (just three Ks), but he’s managed well enough to survive.
KC’s trend is tempting, but at nearly even money, this NRFI is the sharp side.
