Washington Commanders star Jayden Daniels took home the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Trophy with a sparkling rookie campaign last year. Daniels led his Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship game, and finished the year with 3,568 ing yards, 25 touchdowns and just nine interceptions.

Here's a couple early NFL offensive rookie of the year contenders to keep an eye on for 2025:

Is Cam Ward An OROY Value Pick?

Ward threw for 39 touchdowns and 4313 yards to boost his draft stock and cement his status as the best quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. Whether or not that translates to immediate success in Tennessee is another matter.

After all, the Titans haven't had a winning season since 2021, and finished 3-14 to earn the first overall selection. Ward likely had as much talent around him at Miami as he will in Tennessee. Outside of JC Latham, the Titans offensive line leaves a lot to be desired, and Calvin Ridley is Tennessee's only competent -catcher.

A repeat of Jayden Daniel's historic run is unlikely for Ward. The first-overall pick operated a college offense that utilized a ton of RPOs and half-field reads, and his transition to the NFL won't be a smooth one. There will be growing pains in Tennessee this season, so bet on Ward at your own peril.

Could Travis Hunter dominate on Offense?

Hunter will be a popular pick among NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year bettors. The Heisman Trophy winner led Colorado with 96 receptions for 1258 yards and 15 touchdowns last season and enters the NFL with a ton of hype.

The two-way superstars speed, hands and elite body control has offensive coordinators salivating. But, with Brian Thomas Jr. already established in Jacksonville, and Hunter playing both sides of the football, will he be impactful enough to take home an award? To be honest +750 is a steep price to pay on Hunter's NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds until we hear more about his role.

The variety of each winner’s role helps us understand that OROY is less constricted to year-over-year trends, with no specialization winning the award more than two years in a row – futures for this award remain anyone's game.

Interestingly, the AFC is a favorite destination of talented offensive players lately, contributing the last four winners.

With a stellar collection of rookie talent, the Vikings lead all teams in OROY awards. The competition is tight, though – with recent victories for the Rams and Cowboys pushing them into a tie for second, the development of rookies within these organizations is worth watching.

Whether it be a lack of offensive talent out of the Draft or due to their particular systems, seven teams have never had an OROY:
