houston Texans UNDER 9.5 wins -130

It's tough to fade quarterback CJ Stroud, but the talent around the Texans' franchise quarterback has arguably gotten worse this off-season. Houston went from having Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell along with Nico Collins to target last year, to Collins, veteran Christian Kirk and rookie draft picks Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins.

Additionally, the Texans boast the 25th ranked strength of schedule this season. Not only does Houston battle the top-notched NFC West, they also battle the AFC West with Patrick Mahomes, and improving Los Angeles Chargers squad and the always dangerous Denver Broncos. Additional matchups with the Bills and Ravens will also be tough for the Texans to overcome.

On top of that, stalwart left tackle Laremy Tunsil is gone - replaced by former Jaguars and Vikings starter Cam Robinson. Tunsil was perhaps the only consistent player on the Texans offensive line last season, and the Texans reinforcements leave a lot to be desired. I think this line is at least a win too high, at at -130 odds I'm fading the Texans heading into 2025.

Chicago Bears UNDER 8.5 Wins +110

Chicago at UNDER 8.5 wins at plus money is one of my favorite NFL futures bets.

In theory, 'Da Bears have improved immensely this off-season. First and foremost General Manager Ryan Poles hired Ben Johnson away from the division rival Lions, providing quarterback Caleb Williams with the offensive architect needed to kick start his career. Then Poles brought in guards Joe Thuney, and Jonah Jackson and signed center Drew Dalman in free agency. I wrote last year in this exact space about the Bears interior offensive line being a major weak link, and that pressure up the middle is a surefire way to ruin your quarterback's season. So those additions are a great start.

Poles followed that up by drafting tight end Colston Loveland and wide receiver Luther Burden early. Both players look like great additions. Until you realize Rome Odunze, DJ Moore, and Cole Kmet are already in place to hoover up targets. There's only one football, and Johnson will inevitably want to run the ball effectively - with the often banged up D'Andre Swift leading the charge. So where do Loveland and Burden fit in?

On top of that, Chicago's 26th-ranked schedule will be a tall task for this young Bears squad. Six games in the NFL's most Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Commanders leaves Johnson's squad little room for error.

Even if Caleb Williams and company split their divisional games (which is far from certain), it's not hard to find nine losses on the Bears 2025 schedule. Fade Chicago's win total while you still can at +110 odds.

Las Vegas Raiders UNDER 7.5 Wins -145

Call me crazy, but does anybody really believe the Raiders can win eight games in a loaded AFC West? Sure, Las Vegas finally appear to have a competent quarterback in Geno Smith. But, Pete Carroll and John Spytek have a ton of work to do with this roster.

I like what the Raiders did in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Ashton Jeanty will be the unquestioned centerpiece of this offense. But, an elite ing attack is critical to winning in modern football, and Geno will be throwing to the lines of Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker and Jack Bech this season. Were it not for all-world talent Brock Bowers, the Raiders may have the most underwhelming receiving group in the league.

Moreover, Las Vegas offensive line is starting replacement level players in Alex Cappa and DJ Glaze on the right side. Plus, the back seven of the Raiders defense is a dumpster fire. Packers castoff Eric Stokes looks set to start at corner, beside second-year player Jakorian Bennett and Darnay Holmes. While Jeremy Chinn, and Isaiah Pola-Mao start at safety.

In essence, the Raiders receiving and coverage units are their two worst position groups. Both are of monumental importance in modern NFL football, so I'm fading the Las Vegas' 2025 win total as a result. Even Tom Brady couldn't win eight games with this team.

Understanding NFL OVER/UNDER Odds

When you visit any NFL betting site, you’ll see NFL OVER/UNDER listed like so:

Kansas City Chiefs

OVER 11.5 (+100)

UNDER 11.5 (-120)

If you think the Chiefs are going to win 12 or more games, you would take the OVER. Conversely, if you think they’ll win 11 or fewer games, you would bet the UNDER. The numbers in brackets are the actual odds. For instance, if you lay down $100 on the OVER at +100 and Kansas City wins 12 games, you’d get a payout of $200 – your original money is returned along with your winnings of $100.

If you think they’ll win fewer than 12 games and you lay down $100 on the UNDER at -120, you’d get a payout of $183.33 – your original money is returned along with your winnings of $83.33.

Check out our Odds Calculator to see how much your payout would be based on the odds and amount bet.
