MLB MVP Odds: Judge Already Running Away With AL MVP

The 2025 MLB MVP odds feature all the game's top superstars. Reigning AL MVP winner Aaron Judge is favored to repeat at Sportsbook, while two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani is the chalk in the NL MVP odds.

AL MVP Odds Favorite: Aaron Judge

Judge's 2024 season was exceptional, as he led baseball with a .322 batting average, 58 home runs, 144 RBIs, and a 1.159 OPS over 158 games, earning him his second unanimous AL MVP award.

So far this season, he's doing the same thing. Through March and April, Judge was batting a ridiculous .427 with 10 home runs, 32 RBI and seven doubles. While some of those numbers are relatively unsustainable, even a dip in production still is head and shoulders above the competition.

Judge is clearly the best hitter in the American League, and it helps that he plays in a big baseball market to boost his profile. If he keeps up this pace for another monster season, Judge is a lock for MVP again, though no one will bet him at such crazy chalk.

NL MVP Odds Favorite: Shohei Ohtani

Ohtani had an unreal 2024 season with the Dodgers, hitting .310 with 54 home runs, 130 RBIs, and swiping 59 bases in 159 games. He did it all, capping off the year by helping L.A. win the World Series against the Yankees.

Last year, Ohtani's MVP case was locked shut when he became the first hitter in MLB history with 50 homers and 50 steals. This year, he's already a pretty heavy favorite. We can expect the same world-class talent from Ohtani at the dish and maybe even some pitching this season. If Ohtani gets back to his top two-way form (probably by July), I find it hard to see him losing the 2025 MVP.

How To Read MLB MVP Odds

The above chart features the MLB MVP odds for each top player in the American League and National League. At your sportsbook of choice, betting lines for MVP could look something like this:

Mookie Betts +650

Ronald Acuna Jr. +1000

Freddie Freeman +1200

In essence, Betts is the favorite since he has the lowest odds and the highest chance of winning the prop, according to oddsmakers. If you were to bet $100 on Betts and he won, you would get a payout of $750 – your original $100 is returned along with your winnings of $650.

On the other hand, if you strongly believe that Freeman will shine in Los Angeles, a winning $100 bet on him would yield $1,300 – your $100 comes back along with your prize of $1,200.

Our odds calculator will show you how much you’d win based on the odds and amount bet.
